I'm going to take my own advice

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

  1. If you're serious about taking your own advice, I guess I can't writer to you any more, BF.

  2. Sounds like good advice, keeping in mind that it might be too easy to deem anyone with the temerity to argue with me an idiot. ;)

  3. When taking advice, always consider the source first.

  4. SW, that is my thinking too. ;-) but this is more of a warning for others. Never engage in a battle of wits with an opponent who is only half armed.

I love an argument, especially in writing as I think too slow to be an effective debater. I don't have enough sense to quit. I am the consummate idiot, especially if someone comes at me with a rant containing personal invective. I want to turn it around and puree the ranter.

To what end? Shooting fish in a barrel is not very sporting. You got to know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em. I need to learn when to fold 'em. Once it gets personal it is time to run.

I expect to continue to hear from all of you and argue away.
