  1. A fine article you came upon here and something I've been following for the last several years. It's getting progressively worse here in the U.S with 38 billion in cuts to social programs proposed and more expected. All falling on those who can least afford it the elderly and the disabled.
Home values here have dropped by nearly 30% and now rents are rising as owners are losing their homes and now must rent. Wages have dropped by at least 25% while food and gas prices are on the rise. Not a pretty picture.

  2. The problem is as it has always been. The "have's and the have nots".

Equality does not exist as long as money is the great equalizer. The middle ground has disappeared.

  3. I read both articles. Appalling that the Fukushima workers are having to work under those conditions, especially with inadequate protections. I don't understand why they are not receiving more support including better technological support. Makes no sense.

Re. the second article, this is the reason for revolution. The greedy get greedier and push harder on the backs of the working class that feeds their lavish lifestyles. And an interesting concept pointed out by the article that is so true -- the government has more influence over wealth distribution than the market does. We are definitely seeing that now. Thanks for posting the links.

  4. Thank you for my comment about my dad...I think that is what he thinks...the beginning of the end...but it is just not true. I know people go many years while using oxygen....just need to convince him of that. Definitely need to make sure we have the pneumonia cleared up first...

  5. Next Year Country is a great site. I don't read everything they post and I don't agree with everything they post but there is lots of good stuff there. Tanya even found the site in Russian. I'll have to look for it.
