Masha was here last night as school is out for a couple days. So for breakfast Tanya made bliny (crepes). Some she filled with fried mushrooms and some with cottage cheese and some she left for our own choices. We still had some maple syrup left so that was an easy choice. (NOTE to anyone coming to visit, bring cheddar cheese for me and maple syrup for Masha)
Just for fun, instead of folding all the mushroom bliny, she gathered the edges of a couple and tied them up like a sack using smoked cheese strings. Pretty cute. So I took pictures.
Fun in the morning for everyone. I don't think you can beat that!
ReplyDeleteI did develop a fondness for piroskies but as they have about as much fat as a big Mac so... only on rare occasions during summer fairs will you find me with one.
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious.

RB, it was a fun breakfast
DeleteDemeur, lots of fried foods and lots of butter used here in Ukraine
OB, it surely was.
I like the look of them...very artsy. Like a very fine dining establishment-as I am sure it is!
ReplyDeleteUkrainian and Russian women seem to have a gift for presentation as it is called in the fine dining establishments. Come and visit. See and taste.
DeleteThe only negative to all this wonderful made from scratch home cooking is that on a good day, you can dirty every dish in the house and on a very good day, twice.
A visit would be grand. Looks like we'd have to drop a few pounds before arriving to hope to come out even. I will do dishes-twice a day. I don't always do them well (I blame the lighting) but what I lack in proficiency is made up for in willingness.
DeleteWorry about dropping them after you go home. Dishes is my job and you are right about the lighting. Our sink is in a dark corner.
DeleteLove this idea!
ReplyDeleteOh, how cute that bottom photo is!
ReplyDeleteWanderoke, thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment.
DeleteSnowbrush, taken with my cell phone trying to get it before she saw me. She is a sweetie; tires her babushka right out with all her activity and laughter.
