Starting again

To my readers, thanks for staying with me while I took a much needed break.  I have been on my new meds for two months; Tanya and I are back from our annual holiday in Turkey and I am ready to face the world again.

Now to catch up on reading everyone's blogs that I missed over the past five weeks.

To those of you who are receivers of spam because of linking to my blog I am truly sorry about that and have no idea how to cure it.  My ISP is People.net which is a Russian owned company I believe and I know that a great deal of spam gets routed through their servers though I don't know where it originates.

Me off my meds

Maddy is a Cockapoo.  Having raised five litters of pups, which was one too many according to her, she has little patience.  She is quite protective of her owner which used to be my oldest daughter (MayB in her blogging days) and now belongs to MayB's sister-in-law.  She has a ferocious fake snarl and bite but wouldn't hurt anyone.  I think the kiss-and-make-up was genuine.

  1. Keen to read more. Must be autumn there, right? So you'll be hunkering down for the winter and should have plenty of time to write. look forward to it.

    1. Thanks, Char. It is fall here though the flowers are still blooming.
      RJ, Thank you.
Bear, reading between your lines it says I serve as a bad example compared to which others look improved?

    2. Sorry, but you're wrong. Interesting guess, but way off the mark!

  4. We all get to the point that we need a break from blogging. Glad you are back and glad you are feeling better. Just a heads up: I have not been spammed from your site.

I haven't been posting much my self. We are in the middle of elections here and I am sick it - every day a new changing status...I wish I could avoid it all until November and then just turn in to find out who won. It will make a difference to someone in my meager income because if Republicans win government programs will be slashed to give more breaks to the mega-rich. But at 73 years years of age...I can weather it for the short term.
I look forward to more of your post on the fascinating area and culture you live in.
    Best wishes

  5. I haven't received any spamm that I know of from your blog. My e-mail accounts put spamm in the junk category which I delete without looking at them. Any spamm coming to my blog has been from sources in-country, no foreign ones so far.

I agree with Ol'Buzzard about the elections. The process goes on and on way too long. Waiting for the election to be over with, but the bullshit will continue ad nauseum regardless of who wins.

  6. Welcome back! I've never noticed a problem with spam -- should I feel slighted?

I haven't been doing much blogging myself lately. Like Ol' Buzzard, I'm feeling burnt out by all the politicking and wishing I could find an alternate reality for awhile.

    1. Ol'Buzzard, Kulkuri and Nan, Thank you. Glad you have not been spammed by my ISP. Others have said they are but how much I don't know. I get about 6 to 10 Anonymous comments per day which all go in Blogger's spam bucket. I delete them once in a while.

I do not envy you your election process. It must drive thinking people crazy.
