Animal Mothers and Babies

A few of the hundreds of pictures of animals I have collected from the internet. I do not own these pictures and if anyone does, I will cheerfully delete them. Click to enlarge.

  1. Most baby animals are so adorably cute! I take it this is your Mother's Day post!

    1. Is next Sunday Mothers' Day? I had forgotten so this post is now my contribution. Here next Sunday is when friends and family go to cemeteries to pay their respects to the deceased. Last year not many came to our cemetery or likely others too. In previous years there would be bus loads of people.
It is a perfect time of year for it as the cemeteries are filled with flowers planted around the graves. For the past month people have been working on cleaning up gravesites of relatives. This week has been especially busy in the cemetery behind our neighbourhood.

  3. Thank you for these. Some look like the work of Joel Satore. If you don't know of his "photo ark," you're in for a treat.

    1. Lions for sure, foxes, otters, penguins, many others, in packs or in families. Not bears though. The mothers have to protect their cubs from boars which may kill and eat them. One of the reasons they hang around highways as the males tend to stay deep in the bush.

  8. Ah, ever cute. How can people think that animals are brutes when we see this?

    1. The more we learn about animals and birds the more we see that we and they have much in common. We are not so far removed as we like to think
