My brother's ode to a beloved cat
My brother does not have a computer. He asked me to post this on Facebook in memory of a cat he dearly loved. The poem is so touching, I am posting it here and on Facebook. Losing a beloved pet can tear the heart out of you.
A very touching and obviously heartfelt poem. It's extra hard when the pet owner has to put down the beloved pet himself. But the main thing is that TwoFace's suffering is over. Condolences to your brother.
Condolences to your Brother and what a Heartfelt Tribute to a Beloved Fur Baby, RIP Two-Face. She looks so much like our Beloved Miss Priss, who passed during COVID, that it really choked me up... similar Story of a Stray that Adopted her Humans and chose us.
Thank you, Dawn. I will pass it on. So many of us have adopted strays and mourned them when they passed. I never knew my brother to be a cowboy poet but this made me cry too.
So sad. Furry family members never live long enough; and it's heart-wrenching to be the one who has to decide when it's kinder to release them from their pain. It's the last act of love we can do for them. My condolences to your brother.
I hope that Twoface will meet up with Midge, and Puff, and Dixie, and Marmo, and Leon and Everest and Jojo.... they all had loving humans who still miss them.

ReplyDeleteThat truly is the hard part. Too often we do not decide soon enough, wanting to hang on to our furry friend just a little longer

ReplyDeleteI hope so too. And that all our pets that have crossed the rainbow bridge meet the ones that have gone before. They deserve a heaven more than we do
