In Memory of YDG

Yellow Dog Granny used to post political memes she collected from many sources. Political commentary is everywhere these days so I decided to post memes.

  1. You're doing YDG proud, Blog Fodder! I stole a couple of your Cdn ones. My fave is "we're not your visitors, we're waiting for your bed," LOL!

  2. When I was young I believed the "foghorn leghorn" cartoon character was fictional and created for humorous purposes and only later came to learn that he was based on Senator Bilbo, a real life US southern senator.
Today, there is no possible satire of the US that would be believable(other than in Alberta) but then one has to recognize that Premier Smith is one of the three impossible things every Albertan has to believe in before breakfast!
Keep up the good work-YDG would be proud of you!

    1. America writes its own satire. The Onion may go out of business. Premier Smith is a Real Maple MAGAt isnt she. Moe isnt doing so well as mhe has no one to imitate now as he is not at least on the surface a Maple MAGAt

  3. I felt the ultimate Ukrainian moment today when going for lunch at a Choice hotel down on the ocean- on an electronic screen. was the message that "Choice Hotels welcome American Military families". Are they prescient or has the invasion began when I wasn't watching?
Maybe just not buying American products is not enough!

    1. I'm sure they'll be here soon enough or worse yet some Trump empowered militia groups. Canadian soldiers were responsible for many items included in the Geneva Convention and we have not forgotten. Read Steinbeck's The Moon is Down for what will happen

  4. It's a sad old world. I'd like to laugh at the memes, but I can't.

  5. After todays disgusting display by the philistines south of the border, I am nearly at a loss for words-but not quite.
I would like to reverse the words of Henry II -"will no one relieve us of this meddlesome king".
The continued acquiescence of the American population makes one recognize the call for collective guilt of the German people. In my vindictive moments I can think of nothing short of compulsory de-nazification for the American people that will salvage their national honour.
I know I should feel guilt for my attitude -but I don't. In fact if Herr Poilievre should win the PM position-I would go to the gas chambers proudly !
