Les Classiques des Philosophes Grandes

I think, therefore I am - Rene Descartes
I drink, therefore I am - Dean Martin
I stink, therefore I am - Pepe le Pew

  1. I like the many and varied ways they came up with for the cat to get the white stripe!! They knew how to make cartoons back then. I am appreciating them even more now that I have more knowledge about things in general.

  2. Bugs Bunny was on late Saturday afternoons. We loved the show. Most North Americans got their introduction to classical music from Bugs, we just never knew it.
We never thought about them as violent, though they certainly were. Just in such an exaggerated way we knew it was just for fun. And the lines were way beyond the understanding of mere kids, which is why we still find them funny as old people.

  3. René Descartes went into a bar. He sat down at a table.
The barkeep called across, "D'ya wanna beer?"
"I think not," replied the philosopher.
Descartes hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Consider yourself warned, in relation to using that phrase.

  4. I should be careful using deodorant, then.

  5. Haven't seen one of those cartoons in a long, long time. Good fun.

  6. Hey pallie, thanks ever so much for liftin' up the name of our Dino in this way...indeed Dino is the wisest of the worldly wise philosophers....never was, never will be anyone as cool as the King of Cool...oh, to return to the days when Dino walked the earth...btw, just to let you know that your post is bein' featured this very Dino-day at ilovedinomartin...
