Irish Rovers Sing for Peace?

We all get songs stuck in our heads on occasion and they go round and round for hours, days and weeks. I was listening to Simon and Garfunkel the last week in November and sure enough...

Last Night I had the Strangest Dream (words and music by Ed McCurdy) recorded by every self-respecting folk artist from Pete Seeger to Arlo Guthrie, just won't go away.

With one small problem... The fourth verse has become:

And the people in the streets below
Were dancing 'round and 'round,
While swords and guns and unicorns
Were scattered on the ground.

  2. Those poor unicorns. What did they ever do to Simon and Garfunkel?

Also, do you own any Irish Rovers albums?

  3. LynnieC - it is too funny but that is what having a twisted mind does for one.

Ky - No, I don't have and Irish Rovers. I would like Greatest Hits and their Christmas Album.

  4. Those are called ear worms. I had a coworker who took great delight in sticking one in everyone's ear. He'd start singing a song everyone knew as a kid and the next thing you know everybody was singing it.

  5. Demeur, your co-worker was a Sadist. Now I know what it is and I have an earworm with a twist or more specifically a twisted horn.

So I am playing a few other CDs today to try to at cheast change worms or possibly ears.
